Our Teachers
Karen Walsh, Director
Mrs. Walsh has been a teacher at CCP since 1997 and Director since
2001. She came to the school after many years of preschool and day
care experience throughout high school then college and after a year
working for the Lexington Public Schools Special Education
Department. With a BS degree in early Childhood Development and
minors in Literature, Art and French, Mrs. Walsh brings knowledge and
practical skills to the table. She is a true believer in the benefits of a
cooperative setting. The mother of four children (ages 6, 3 ,3
and 2) Mrs. Walsh claims that CCP is her "retreat" from her
busy every day life!

LouAnn Donovan, Teacher
Mrs. Donovan joined the staff at CCP in 2001 as lead teacher and
went on to immediately achieve a Director qualification from the Office
of Child Care Services. In addition, she holds an Associate's degree
with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. LouAnn has held
various jobs in North Andover, which have allowed her the opportunity
to share her expertise in the field. Some of these positions include
three years in the public school system as clerical, noontime, and
lunchroom assistant. She earned a glowing recommendation from
longtime Brad Street School principal Kathy Callagy. She also worked
for KinderCare before coming to CCP.
Local families may recognize LouAnn, as she has resided in North
Andover's Old Town Center for twenty two years. Her son Theron is a
sophmore at North Andover High School and her daughter Christine is
a freshman at UMASS Amherst's Commonwealth College.

Linda Swartz, Teacher
After a ten year break to stay at home with her young children, Mrs. Swartz is returning to teaching. She holds a BA degree in Economics and French from the University of Vermont. In addition, she earned her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass. She is also certified as a Lead Teacher for Preschool. Previously, she taught second grade at a small private school in Boston and Pre-K at a preschool and day care center in Arlington. More recently, Linda has been a Sunday School teacher for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and a substitute teacher for local preschools. Linda and her family have been part of Community Cooperative Preschool for several years as her 3 children attended the school. While her children attended, she was a board member and she served on nominating and hiring committees for the school. She is looking forward to getting back into the classroom and preschool is the level she enjoys the most. Linda, and her husband Paul, have lived in North Andover for 15 years with their 3 children: Grant (12), Dana (9) and Alex (6).

Our Commitment
to Quality Education and Professional Development
In accordance with Massachusetts state regulations, CCP teachers are certified
in CPR and First Aid. All staff members complete a minimum of 20 hours of
professional development and training annually.
