Our teachers are one of the best assets at CCP. They are all moms of children with varying age ranges, and are very eager to listen and help, should a parent have a question. We are also lucky to have a past CCP mom now in the role as a teacher, allowing her to look at things from both perspectives. In addition, their wide variety of interests and hobbies, allow them to create a wonderfully diverse curriculum. Our children are very dear to our hearts, and it’s only right that we feel we have the very best teaching them.
Karen Walsh, Director
Mrs. Walsh has been a teacher at CCP since 1997 and Director since 2001. She came to the school after many years of preschool and day care experience throughout high school and college. Following college she worked in the Lexington Public Schools Special Education Department. With a BS in early Childhood Development and minors in Literature, Art, and French, Mrs. Walsh brings knowledge and practical skills to the table. She is a true believer in the benefits of a cooperative setting. The mother of four children, Ryan (8) Grace (5), Molly (5), and Brennan (4), Mrs. Walsh claims that CCP is her "retreat" from her busy everyday life!
LouAnn Donovan, Teacher
Miss LouAnn joined the staff at CCP in 2001 as lead teacher and went on to immediately achieve a Director qualification from the Office of Child Care Services. In addition, she holds an Associate's degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. LouAnn has held various jobs within the North Andover school system, including clerical positions, and noontime and lunchroom assistant, which has allowed her the opportunity to share her expertise in the field. She earned a glowing recommendation from longtime Brad Street School principal Kathy Callagy. Prior to coming to CCP she worked for KinderCare. Local families may recognize LouAnn, as she has resided in North Andover's Old Town Center for twenty-five years. Her son Theron is a freshman at UMass Lowell and her daughter Christine is a senior at UMASS Amherst's Commonwealth College. Now that both of her children are in college she spends a lot of her free time hiking on Weir Hill with her two dogs Darby and Keeley.
