Programs Available
Classes are grouped by age, giving children the opportunity to feel comfortable in a classroom setting with children of
similar ages, rather than grouping multiple ages together. This allows children to form lasting relationships and allows the
teachers to focus the learning on age appropriate activities.
CCP provides a theme-based developmental curriculum that is strong in science and nature exploration, while also
imparting important skills for kindergarten readiness in the Pre-K program. These Pre-K skills are fostered through
journals, job boards during circle time, and much more. Please note that class dates and times are subject to change based on program enrollment.
2-day
Tuesday and Thursday
8:45 am to 11:30 am
This program is geared toward ages 2.9 to 3 years of age. At this age we focus on social skills through play (both indoor
and outdoor), crafts, and science and nature exploration. Children will learn through interaction with other children,
teachers and parents. In addition, children are introduced to basic circle time routines through story time.
3-day
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
8:45 am to 11:30 pm
This program is geared toward ages 3 to 4 years of age. In addition to learning social skills through play (both indoor and
outdoor), crafts, and science and nature exploration, children are introduced to circle time beyond a simple story. They
interact with the teacher after the story and discuss the related craft, and also discuss how the story may relate to
everyday life of their families.
Pre-K (4-day)
Monday - Thursday 12:45 pm to 3:30 pm or
Monday & Wednesday 8:45 am to 1:00 pm and Friday 8:45 am to 11:30 am
This program is geared toward ages 4 to 5 years of age. Our Pre-K program focuses on preparing children for
kindergarten. In addition to learning social skills through play (both indoor and outdoor), children are also immersed in a
more intense circle time where each child has a "job" to perform, such as discussing the counting chart, choosing and
discussing a letter of the week, reading the word chart, adding to the weather chart and, when ready, learning some
simple words in a foreign language. Additional skills are learned through their science journal, kept throughout the year,
which includes drawings of different school events or outings. Children are encouraged to write a word for description
when ready. The journal is a wonderful tool to mark progress throughout the year, and keep as a memory of their year at
CCP.
Our primary focus is to ensure your child is ready for kindergarten. Our teachers monitor the kindergarten work in the area
school systems to ensure that what they are teaching meets the kindergarten teacher's expectations and beyond.
